Description: The road centerline layer is used to support all county addressing functions including 911 dispatching, voter location and geocoding services. There are unique attributes to support the multiple department needs.
Description: Diveways in this layer are illustrated in different ways depending on when the information was collected. This layer was initially developed as part of the 1991 planimetric data development at the inception of the GIS department. As new aerial photography was acquired the outline of a driveway, or centerline of long driveways, were added to this layer. Over time, this layer has gotten subtantially out-of-date with ground conditions. As resources become available features will be updated and descriptive attributes including drive_type, source, and relevant notes will be made current.
Description: Descriptive information about the features include surface type (paved, unpaved), source, and driveway type (driveway, parking, walkway, etc). This data was not directly integrated into the county-wide driveway layer because of the time needed to verify and recode the vendors work.
Description: There are descriptive attributes including type and surface. Where there is a road centerline, there should be a roadnet edge of surface in this layer. Refer to the most current aerial photos to see actual extent of road surface.
