Description: These areas were digitized to compare the geologic hazard to the data provided by the Colorado Geologic Survey (CGS) in 2012 and to provide vector data of the 1974 scanned maps. There are discrepencies between the two datasets. Georeferencing scanned images introduces spatial alignment issues which may be apparent when viewing the scans with other GIS data.Maps guide further site investigation and are not considered a complete representation of a hazard. Users referencing these maps need to be aware that because a hazard is not mapped, doesn’t mean the hazard doesn’t exist.
